A massive storm swept through the South and Midwest on Friday, triggering a deadly tornado that ripped through homes and shopping malls and toppled the roof of a theater during a heavy metal concert in Illinois, according to officials. At least one person was killed and more than 20 injured, some seriously injured, in the Little Rock area, officials reported that two deaths, destroyed homes, and people trapped in rubble and The town of Wynn in northeastern Arkansas was also devastated.

Authorities said a tornado struck Belvidere, Illinois, causing a theater roof to collapse, killing one person and seriously injuring 28 others. The Belvidere Police Department told that the collapse happened when a severe storm hit the area and received a call from the theater at 7:48 p.m. Initial estimates said a tornado caused the damage.

The collapse happened when a heavy metal concert at the Apollo Theater, around 110 kilometers northwest of Chicago.
