Michigan State University firing At least 5 wounded as active shooter opens fire on lot, says police

  first reports of the shootings arrived at around 8:30 pm local time (8:00 am IST) after Michigan State University police and public safety issued a safety alert.

 At least five people were wounded, some with “life-threatening injuries”, after a person opened fire on campus at Michigan State University on Monday, as per initial police reports. The suspect is yet to be restrained.

 As per First reports of the firing came at around8.30 pm original time( 7 am IST) after the Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety issued a safety alert following reports of gunshots, as per a report in The Michigan Daily 

 Earlier, university spokesperson Emily Gerkin-Gerant told the Michigan-based Detroit News that one person was killed in the shooting. said at a press conference at 11 p.m. local time that at least five victims had been taken to hospital with injuries, some of which were life-threatening. 

 The shooter saw to have targeted in two areas on lot. on 7:10 a.m., East He was reported to have heard gunshots near Barkey Hall on the Lansing University campus. At 7:56 am, it was reported that a shot was fired near IM East.
